Founder’s Story
I created this non-profit website because of my own personal experience with diabetes. One day at work, while carrying a heavy box up the stairs, I suddenly experienced severe chest pains. I thought I was having a heart attack. The next day, I visited SIMNSA Internacional Hospital, where the doctor suspected diabetes—a condition I had never associated with chest pains. After running tests, I was prescribed diabetes medication.
Over the next month, I visited the hospital twice more. During my third visit, I was referred to a cardiologist who conducted additional tests and suspected a blockage in my blood vessels. She gave me two options: return for more tests or admit myself into the emergency room. I chose the emergency room and stayed in the hospital for almost five days. During that time, I was treated by three specialists: a cardiologist, a neurosurgeon, and an interventional cardiologist. I left the hospital with four stents.
Reflecting on this experience, I realized how much I had been through. It’s been just two days since I left the hospital, and I started this non-profit a couple of weeks before this incident. The main reason for creating this platform was seeing young people consuming sugary foods and energy drinks without understanding the risks.
For example, a few weeks ago, my wife’s friend visited our home with her two teenage boys. One of the boys had just eaten a bunch of junk food and felt so unwell that he almost vomited. My wife checked his blood sugar, and it was 315. She told the mother that the child might be diabetic, but the mother dismissed it, saying he just needed more attention.

This made me realize how little people understand about diabetes. I was one of those people who thought it couldn’t happen to me. I was always healthy, never got sick, and never had to go to the hospital. But when something like this happens, it’s a wake-up call.
Diabetes is not a sickness that can’t be cured. It’s a condition that requires your full attention—especially when it comes to the foods you eat. To manage or even reverse diabetes, start by watching your blood sugar, keeping a journal of what you eat, and tracking your exercise. Compare how you feel from day to day. When you lower your sugar intake, you’ll notice that you’re not always hungry. Sugar craves more sugar, and it will always demand more.
My goal is to have diabetes education taught in every school worldwide. I want to help people understand the risks and make better decisions about their health. Everything I’ve done so far has been with the help of AI tools like ChatGPT, Google NotebookLM, Google Cloud, Adobe Premiere, and others.
I apologize for any grammar mistakes or incomplete sentences. I would love for a volunteer to help me refine this message and expand our reach. My doctors have also offered to contribute their expertise, and I hope to collaborate with more professionals in the future.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we can make a difference.
