Join the Movement: Educating the Next Generation About Diabetes

Diabetes is a growing crisis, and LivingWellWithDiabetes.org is leading the charge to bring diabetes education into schools. As someone who has personally faced the impact of this disease, I know firsthand the importance of early awareness and prevention.

📌 The reality is alarming:
✔️ In the past two decades, type 2 diabetes in youth has doubled.
✔️ During the pandemic, new cases surged by 77%, disproportionately affecting boys and minority communities.

This is why we must act now. My vision is clear—diabetes education should be a fundamental part of every school curriculum worldwide. Knowledge is power, and by teaching children early, we can help them make informed choices that will shape their long-term health.

🚀 How You Can Help:

About the author: Ronald
I created non-profit website because a personal experience. work, I was carrying heavy box up the steps. When I reached the top, I severe chest pains and thought I was having a heart attack. I went to the doctor the next day at SIMNSA Internacional Hospital. The doctor suspected it was a case of diabetes, which I had never heard of causing chest pains. They ran some tests and gave diabetes Medicine. I visited twice more within a month. my third visit, I was referred to a cardiologist who conducted additional test. She suspected a blockage in my blood vessels and gave me two options: return four more times for tests or admit myself into the emergency room. I chose to go the Emergency room, and I stayed in hospital for almost five days. I had three different doctors working with me: a cardiologist, neurosurgeon, and an interventional cardiologist. I had left the Hospital with four Stents. I hadn’t Realized what all I went thru until just now. In writing this I have been out of hospital for just two days. I started this non-profit a couple weeks before all of this. The big reason was. I started seeing young people eating just SUGAR TYPE FOODS. If you want to call that food. Energy Drinks are just as bad. My Wife’s girlfriend came by the house few weeks ago with her two teenage boys and one of the boys had just a bunch of junk before they came to the house, and he was feeling really bad like he wanted to up chuck. My checked his blood sugar. I think it was 315. My wife told the mother they she thought the child might be Diabetic. The mother said she didn’t think that he was diabetic he just needed attention. That made realize that people don’t understand how you become Diabetic. So, I started this to try to inform people the threat of becoming Diabetic. I was one of those people that thought it couldn’t happen to me. I was always healthy never got sick never had to go to hospital. Then you have something bad happen and you don’t understand how it happens to healthy person. Diabetes is not sickness that can’t be cured. How to cure diabetes. First start with what you eat. Watch your blood sugar keep a journal on what you eat and the exercise that you do. Compare how you feel from day to day. When you lower your sugar intake. When you don’t have sugar. You feel like you need to eat. Sugar needs more sugar it will always want more sugar. I hope to be able to explain how to treat then cure your Diabetes. Or help you make better decisions on your eating habits. Everything that I have done is all done by me and a lot help from Ai., ChatGPT, Google NotebookLM , Google Cloud, Adobe Premiere, and a few others Ai apps. I want everyone to understand I am only doing this to try to improve life. Of the people I come in contact with. If I have no contact with you I can’t help. I will take help from anyone that wants to help. When I get all of projects completed. I will be able to have real doctors give their opinion. And what they know that can help. My goal is to have Diabetes taught in every school Worldwide.
